Project Overview　I designed thumbnails for a YouTube channel covering Claude Code and AI development. Each one is built to communicate the video's content at a glance while using layout and color choices that make viewers want to click.

Results

Over the 14 most recent videos I designed thumbnails for, the average click-through rate rose to 5.00%, up roughly 1.5x from the 3.25% average before I took over. Audience retention (average view rate of 21.47%) held steady at prior levels, showing that the click-rate gains didn't come at the expense of viewer experience.

Standout results include one video with a 7.2% CTR on 33,909 impressions, and another that combined a 6.7% CTR with a 27.9% average view rate — strong, consistent performance even on higher-reach uploads.
